Tomorrow’s Engineers is an initiative led by EngineeringUK and the Royal Academy of Engineering to provide a one-stop-shop for information and resources on the careers available in Engineering. To complement the online resource, Tomorrow’s Engineers needed delivery partners to run a programme of regional events in schools around the country.
Learn by Design manage and deliver Tomorrow’s Engineers programmes to students in the North West, South West and the Midlands. The programme combines industry visits, workshops and STEM Ambassador partnerships – with companies such as Severn Trent Water, Rolls-Royce, National Grid, BAE Systems, Electricity NW and Airbus – to help schools incorporate engineering into the curriculum and inspire the next generation of engineers.
We’ve been inspiring students with the Tomorrow’s Engineers “Around The World” workshops for over 4 years and Learn by Design are thrilled to have been named as an official partner, for both collaboration and involvement in the programme.
We’ll be promoting Tomorrow’s Engineers week 2017. Look out for #TEWEEK17
“Stephen (Learn by Design’s In School Communicator) visited us and gave us two Energy Quest workshops for year 7 and 9’s. I just wanted to let you know that he was great. He had the pupils listening to his every word, they were engaged and enthusiastic to learn about engineering and energy. They loved the Electric car challenge and the challenge allowed our students to use some skills we are trying to develop within school.”
