We are looking for a charismatic and flexible individual to help recruit young people onto the NCS programme. It is imperative candidates have excellent presentation skills, a persuasive manner and the ability to ‘sell’ the programme to young people. The Engagement Officers predominant focus is on making young people aware of the programme, through delivering school assemblies and other engagements in a variety of educational establishments (state/academy schools, independent schools, pupil referral units, colleges, for example). A school assembly/presentation is often the first time young people find out about the NCS opportunity, so it is essential that the Engagement Officers are confident in front of a large audience. Young people express an interest in the programme to Engagement Officers who then work with the wider NCS Team to encourage young people to sign up. Engagement Officers are targeted to generate interest per school engagement.
