Delivery Team Manager

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for the right individual to gain invaluable experience working for a leading Outreach Education Company with an excellent reputation.

Responsibilities:                                                              

  • Line manage a growing team of full-time, part-time and casual Education Communicators.

  • Lead on all areas of staffing, including operational/logistical elements involved in the delivery of days. This will involve coordinating the full-time, part-time and casual delivery staff team.

  • Coordinate all materials (including equipment and paperwork) needed on days of delivery, working closely with the delivery team to achieve this.

  • Take an active role in dealing with scheduling new commercial bookings and support the Head of Business Development and Education with this area of work.

  • Work closely with the Senior Administrator to ensure bookings are in the work/staffing dairy, with hotels and the like booked in.

  • Actively identify future recruitment requirements within the delivery team, well in advance, and lead on recruitment to ensure we maintain a suitably skilled workforce to fulfil delivery requirements.

  • Work with the Curriculum and Quality Team Manager to ensure the foremost quality of delivery and training.

  • Analyse and implement training requirements for the delivery team.

  • Work with Senior Education Communicators to deal with repair and maintenance of equipment and vehicles.

  • Identify and attend relevant events/conferences to keep abreast of new developments in the sector.

  • Review and develop the systems in place for administration required on delivery days to support the team.

  • Use initiative and problem solving to resolve day-to-day duties in response to the delivery team’s needs – i.e. overseeing equipment and material stock, van packing, logistical input, minor issues and concerns.

  • Co-ordinate site and vehicle maintenance to keep the delivery team functioning effectively.

  • Work with the HR team to manage delivery team holiday records, sickness records and such like.

  • Work with the Curriculum and Quality manager to liaise and build relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

  • Keeping abreast of all projects and programmes, stepping in to assist with delivery on occasion, as and when needs of the business require it – especially on the NFU contract.

Starting date: April 2020

Working hours: 37 hours per week, with additional weekend and evening on call duties on a rota.

Salary: £25K -£30K depending on experience.

Annual Leave Entitlement: 25 days per annum (or 2 days per calendar month if part of year worked) plus statutory Bank Holidays. Some weekend and evening work will be required within this role.
