Space Studio Banbury is a unique and innovative school, for 14-18 year olds curious about the wonders and possibilities of science and maths. We combine technology, creativity, academic excellence and our broad range of professional contacts to work in partnership with industry, in order to provide the best possible high quality, aspirational, original and relevant education for up to 300 committed students.
The team at Space Studio Banbury are opening their doors to local schools to attend this fabulous STEM event which will showcase a wide variety of STEM opportunities within the school itself as well as local companies and regional organisations.
This exciting event will play host to 2000+ visitors and will showcase 60+ exhibitors, workshop and show providers all highlighting the careers, industry and opportunities available in STEM.
The Big Bang Banbury is open to students aged 9-19 from all schools, colleges and home educators.
The day runs from 10am – 2.30pm. You can come for all or part of the day. We would recommend a minimum of two hours so you can have time to tour the hands-on exhibition, take part in a workshop and enjoy a show.
Space Studio Banbury, a specialist science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) school will be full of interactive exhibitions that run all day. Make newspaper as strong as steel with real life engineers and the STIXX machine, step into a different world with our own VR suite, and spend some time handling exotic animals.
There is a programme of workshops and shows that you can pre-book for students.
There will be some catering (drinks, snacks) available to buy on site but we recommend all students bring a packed lunch with them.
As with all Big Bang events, places are absolutely free to visitors but you must register here to secure your places.
