Find Your Fit Programme

Aged between 16-24 and live in Leicester or Leicestershire?

Leaving education, thinking about leaving education, or not in education, training or work?

Looking for support to find a new job or ways into further education or training?

Wanting personalised support, that fits your skills and interests?
What is the programme all about?
This twice weekly course will take you on a journey of self-discovery, develop your employability skills and provide you with a clear direction and action plan of how to achieve your next career steps. You will meet regularly with local and national employers, understand the skills gaps in the local job markets and the opportunities available to you.
This course begins 6th September 2022 for 14 weeks from 10am - 2pm each week on Tuesday and Wednesday at
Fearon Hall Community Centre on Rectory Road, LE11 1PL.
Lunch is included for the participants.
The Find Your Fit programme is split into 3 modules:
Skills Builder:
Your tailored plan will build and enhance your skillset. You will also be enrolled to gain a short-course qualification in an area that will enhance your individual skills, interests and employability (literacy, numeracy or digital).
Discovery:
We get to know you, understand your strengths and interests. With motivational training and guest speakers, we aim to inspire and build you a plan for your future progression.
Take Action:
We continue to develop your skills and provide motivational training with a clear focus on the importance of good mental health and wellbeing. We will provide you with support towards your next career steps through employer engagement and identify progression routes that suit you.
This course will run twice in 2022, commencing in March and September for 14 weeks

The Find Your Fit Programme is funded by Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership. It is designed and delivered by youth engagement and employability specialists Learn by Design.
Are you an employer?
A distinct part of this course, which will hold real value for the participants, is to include regular contact with local and national employers – particularly those who are experiencing skills gaps and job shortages.
This can be held either via a digital platform or through in-person delivery during one of our weekly contact sessions. It is an excellent opportunity for employers to meet with a group of capable, interested and motivated young people and to make a real impact on their career decisions and next steps.
