100% impact has been achieved through NCS social action.

100% impact has been achieved through NCS social action projects this summer.

NCS Social action projects have reached an ultimate high this year for Learn by Design, as the collaboration with Bristol City Council, Incredible Edible and The Cambridge University Hospitals Trust to name a few have proved to be outstandingly successful in all areas. Project aims and outcomes included; raising the profile of regeneration in the city of Bristol and building awareness of the widening range of community group initiatives that are ongoing for young people to participate in. Addenbrooke’s volunteers highlighted daily struggles within the differing patient groups within the hospital NHS Trust of Cambridge University and tasked students to think creatively around the idea of being inclusive in their problem solving skills. The team of NCS participants excelled expectations and showed their creativity in bringing social mobility to an otherwise hidden area of the Trusts work. The power of social media was utilised, as facebook, instagram and twitter saw students creating accounts to both promote their project work and link directly to a live audience in the community.

Please view Learn by Design’s report links at the bottom of this page, outlining the impact and outcomes of each project.
