Derby & Nottingham Careers Fairs

Having done two fairs just last week, we’ve seen that they really are a priceless opportunity for employers and training providers to talk to directly to pupils and their parents on the very start of their career journey. That direct dialogue for just a few hours of their time has resulted in sign-ups to training schemes and apprenticeships of all levels there and then, as well as giving the kids the experience of speaking to employers face to face, which all adds to their experience and employability.

Now we have even more opportunities to inspire young people in an array of career possibilities with our Derby and Nottingham Careers Fairs!

When and Where?

The careers fairs are open to pupils from years 10 up to sixth form so is a great opportunity to reach those making their careers choices NOW! We’ll also have a focus on pupils identified as being at risk of falling through the gaps when they leave school; so not being in education, training or employment.

How Do I Get Involved?

A) The fairs will be a ‘market place’ style set-up with exhibition stands for local employers can showcase their industry; let pupils physically see what starting a career in their industry could look like and where it can take them, and most importantly how to make it happen. We’re also inviting universities, college and training providers to showcase the broad range of ‘next steps’ they have to offer.

B) There is also the opportunity to be involved in an ‘inspirational careers talk’ to groups of pupils.
