Our Future Derby is a Department for Education and Derby City Council funded initiative, which is operating throughout seven Wards in the Derby Opportunity Area.
The Derby Wards which Our Future Derby focuses on are Abbey, Arboretum, Boulton, Chaddesden, Derwent, Normanton and Sinfin.
We connect 32 Derby Primary Schools within the Opportunity Area with Local Businesses, aiming to reduce the skills gap between Education and the World of Work.
Our Future Derby’s primary aim is to help raise aspirations for every child we work with.
Throughout 2021, we will be delivering a series of CPD webinars to ensure teachers and senior leaders in schools are supported to embed careers related learning in the curriculum through the sharing of resources, case studies and best practise. These webinars will also provide schools with an opportunity to showcase their development and share their learning with other primary schools in Derby.

How OFD schools have embedded CRL into their school curriculum
Building relationships with schools and supporting them with CRL
Creating resources for sustainability of the project as the impact should be longer-term, not just for the duration of the project
Overcoming barriers for maximum impact
