The newfound collaboration with Heart of the South West LEP, HotSW Careers Hub and Learn by Design brought together over 4,000 learners in 40 schools in a 3 day virtual careers event. Supported by Devon County Council the Virtual Careers Fair titled “Which Way?” provided the opportunity for students across the region of Plymouth, Torbay, Devon & Somerset FREE access to an online event that explored careers and their pathways into employment.

Audience:

Aimed at Years 7-13, the event connected young people with local and national employers together with further and higher education providers across Devon, Somerset, Plymouth and Torbay, broadening horizons and raising aspirations through career-related learning.

The 3-day event, took place on the 27th, 28th and 29th April, and involved a virtual exhibition as well as 6 live sessions, including opportunities for Q&A and meaningful interactions with employers. All sessions aligned with the Gatsby Benchmarks 5 and 7 primarily.

Over 37 employers provided videos, resources and mini challenges which were hosted by Learn by Design on an exclusive built online portal for learners to access virtually. Each fully branded exhibitor booth provided students with company fact files, career links and access to LIVE panel sessions for learners to ask their burning career questions.
