About the Workshop

  • Short introduction to robots and why they are used in different industries including medicine, manufacturing and entering dangerous teritories.

  • Using Vex robots learners collect a series of craft building materials (from a danger zone)

  • With their materials learners then build a bridge over a river that is capable of allowing their robot to travel over it.

  • Focus is made on how robots are used across the world and can be important in humaniarian cirsis and the miliatry. 

  • Learners reflect on their planning, teamwork and construction.

Logistics and Planning

Room Requirments:

  • Large classroom or hall - all furniture moved to the sides

  • Projector and screen

Workshops can be booked on their own and delivered on rotation throughout the day or delivered as part of a series of workshops,

where classes rotate between multiple activities.
