Survival Stations

About the Workshop

In this interactive 2 hour session students will learn about the sometimes harsh environments of countries around the world.

They will then have to use building materials to construct a shelter which would help them survive in the climate and environment of the country they choose. This could meam building a tree house for the rainforests of the Amazon to escape the predators below, or an igloo to try and survive the harsh winters of Antartica.

This session will conclude with a shelter showcase, where each team presents their shelter, tells us what each part is made from and why they have built it that way.

Can be delivered as part of a full Earth Discovery day: www.learnbydesign.co.uk/courses-2/earth-discovery
