NCS lands on the moon in the launch of Space summer activities 2019

For the second year running, Learn by Design facilitated #NCSLBD young people in supporting the official launch of the summer activity Space programme 2019.

Funded by Staffordshire Commissioner, Matthew Ellis is pictured along with Catriona Davies - NCS young person completing summer 2019 on the NCS programme.

‘Since its relaunch in 2015, the Space programme has gone from strength to strength with year-on-year attendances increasing each time and levels of anti-social behaviour dipping during these weeks. Each year we receive very positive feedback from young people and I’d encourage anyone between 8 and 17 to get involved.’

The launch was held at the stunning Lichfield Cathedral on Monday 22nd July, where a moon landing space exhibition was being held to mark the Apollo 11 landing 50 years ago.

Linking in with their social action projects, NCS young people hit the streets, handing out leaflets and supporting Lichfield Cathedral in attracting visitors to the moon walk exhibition.
