We are delighted to announce that Our Future Derby will continue with a new programme running from January to July 2021. Launched in partnership with Derby City Council, this exciting project is made possible with funding from the Department for Education’s ‘Opportunity Area Programme’.
The programme aims to:
Raise the aspirations of all pupils to close the gap between disadvantaged pupils and their peers.
Inspire Career Champions within schools to take a ‘whole school approach’ in embedding Career Related Learning now and in the future.
Stimulate pupils by developing their understanding of the link between school and the wider world of work, broadening their awareness of a wide range of jobs; breaking down stereotypes and challenging bias.
Watch this space for resource packed monthly newsletters and CPD webinars from January. In the meantime, keep an eye out for communication from our School Engagement Co-ordinators who will be contacting each school directly to plan activities from January that are tailored to your school’s needs.
