Please accept this email as a heartfelt thank you from everyone at the HotSW Careers Hub for all your hard work and dedication to our Which Way? Virtual Careers Fair.

The event was a huge success and continues to enjoy lots of positive social media attention.  Most importantly, our young people were able to access a fully immersive careers fair experience and gain valuable insight into education and career pathways – helping them to make informed choices about their futures.  The resources that have been created in partnership with our Careers Hub community will continue to add value well into the future.

You have been an absolutely pleasure to work with and I hope that we will work with you again in the future

Victoria Gage - Careers Hub Lead - Heart of the South West

The team all arrived bright eyes and bush tailed, unloaded all their gear and set up in good time for the start of the day. This happened really smoothly as a result of the pre-planning that bydesign staff undertook in advance. The quality and range of activities was superb and the children were all engaged and learnt so much. I was also impressed with the professional, speedy manner in which the company responded to our request for all the relevant safeguarding information. With the TAs working alongside bydesign staff, teachers had a very productive day working on curriculum development, a ‘win-win’ situation all round!

Clare Claxton - Headteacher, Orchards CE Academy, took part in an Enterprise Day.

The teams we have had from Learn by Design have always been good but without a doubt, this team were the best we have had. They were really well organised and enthusiastic and made my job really easy. A number of our staff thought the day was brilliant.

Thank you on behalf of all the staff for such an enjoyable and worthwhile event.

Judith Scott - Assistant Vice Principal at The Rawlett School

The Learn by Design Education Communicator team did an excellent job today with our students.  The sessions were interactive, educational and inspiring.

LincHigher who observed the sessions were really impressed and have given the go ahead to book the team back in for future sessions.

Jacqui Gilman - Careers Adviser and Work Experience Coordinator, University Academy Long Sutton

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for delivering the two excellent Energy Quest workshops for my Year 8 students yesterday. They were informative and interactive and kept my students engaged.

As you saw for yourself, the students thoroughly enjoyed taking part and their feedback was that they learned a lot about engineering and careers in the sector.

Mrs Allison Copeman - Careers and Aspirations Manager from Sir John  Leman High School

Thank you and your team for the fantastic Aspire 2 Me workshops, we have heard nothing but positive feedback from students and staff. The workshops were professional, informative and engaging and the subject content was extremely relevant to our young people.

Sharon Kennedy - Higher Education Progression Officer,

Learn by design have been great to work with over the past 18 months and have always been extremely flexible with the range of workshops that they have delivered. The Aspire 2 Me programmes have been brilliant! We have seen ex athletes deliver inspirational speeches as well as leading motivational sessions for pupils from Y9-Y13. The students and teachers always come away inspired and we will definitely be continuing to use them this year!

Lauren Holmes - National Collaborative Outreach Programme Hub Officer, Higher Horizons+, Harper Adams University

The workshop was excellent, well resourced and fully enjoyed by the children. Learn by Design staff were well prepared and presented the workshop to the children with enthusiasm, providing encouragement and support in their learning.

A really high quality programme, excellent resources and Ellie was truly amazing- we have had this company in before but never as amazing as this and I can only attribute this to Ellie and her passion and commitment to the programme!

All staff really friendly, enthusiastic and eager to help and get ‘stuck in with the children’. A good link to past life (tape player). All children came out saying how excited they were. We’ve had a fantastic time! Thank you.

Teachers from - Cherry Tree Hill Primary, Derby

Just wanted to say thanks for the great event and amazing experience you guys provided for the students. They had a brilliant time and were made up with taking home a trophy. It was a fantastic day, thanks again!

Mr H Malin - Teacher of Science, Northgate High School and Dereham Sixth Form College, who took part in EEP Robotics challenge

I just wanted to thank all at Energy Quest for today’s STEM-Engineering Workshop for Year 7 students. We had Mark Baggott who did a sterling job and all the students learnt and engaged well. Please pass on the school’s gratitude to him plus also the team who delivered last week’s sessions to Year 8 students.

I think we now have some bussing young engineers in the making!

Mrs Chris Day - Careers Adviser and Work Experience Coordinator, West Coventry Academy

Thank you to you and your team for a hugely successful day yesterday.  I really appreciate how flexible you have been and how hard you worked to fit into our fairly rigid structure.  I can tell you that the students had such a good day with both the Energy Quest and the carousel of STEM workshops and the teachers were all saying how engaged the students were with the interactive sessions.

We will definitely be in touch about future events and I will give a personal recommendation at the next SEMLEP meeting of secondary schools.

Thanks again and very best wishes.

Mrs H Cottom - CareersAdviser at Gilsborough Academy

Learn by Design are a pleasure to work with.

They have been supporting our Robotics Challenge teacher training sessions, school management and planning competitions. We're looking forward to work with Learn by Design both now and in the future, to enthuse more young people to explore the technology of robotics.

Erika Smallridge - Tomorrow's Engineers EEP Robotics Challenge Manager, EngineeringUK

Thank you so much for bringing such a varied, interactive and thought-provoking STEM workshop to the pupils, who were absolutely riveted. They thoroughly enjoyed the mental and physical challenges, relishing the variety of working styles and problems facing them. The teamwork required for so many of the activities was also exactly the right kind of challenge for them. We had plenty of happy pupils at the end, having plenty to write about on what they had learned and experienced on the day.

Bruno Shovelton - Head of Classic's and Scholar's Enrichment Programme, Dragon School Oxford

On behalf of everyone at Todholm Primary School, we’d like to commend the workshops that were delivered to our P7 children. The content and delivery were outstanding and the workshops were enjoyed by staff and children alike. Both teachers were extremely impressed with how much was covered in a two hour period.  We were also able to share with our parents and the response from them has been very positive too.

Lynne McGinn - Head Teacher, Todholm Primary School

Thank you for providing The Dukeries Academy with such an engaging and useful workshop.

It was fantastic to have you support our exciting two days and delivering such a fantastic workshop. It makes such a difference for the students to be able to get 'hands on' and I know that they really enjoyed programming the robots and seeing them come to life!

Your team of colleagues were professional and perfect role models throughout. Please pass my thanks on to them also.

We sincerely hope that you will be back to visit us again sometime soon!
